Get The Look | Cara Delevigne

As soon as I saw the images of Cara on the FRow at Chanel's Couture Show I knew I wanted to re-create it. I'm an avid wearer of a dark vampy lip, and loved how clean and glamorous she looked. It is the perfect look for this time of year, it can even be worn on casual days, with a cream knitted jumper and ripped bleach wash jeans.

The one struggle I had with re-creating this look is that Cara has such beautiful, flawless skin. She probably doesn't need a heavy make-up base. Me on the other hand, my skin has a very pink/red tone to it and I do suffer from break outs. In order to get that 'flawless' look, I used Benefit's Pore Professional as a primer, and then Estee Lauder's Double Wear in 'Cool Bone'. I applied this using my fingers as I find that it keeps the product warm, and much easier to blend.

I then used Collection's Concealer in Shade 1, the lightest shade, and applied it under my eyes and on any red areas that needed more coverage. Afterwards I gave myself a slight contour to mimic Cara's gorgeous bone structure, I used Benefit's Hoola Bronzer to do so.

I finished the base with a tiny hint of mauve blusher, Cara doesn't appear to be wearing blusher in the photo, however, I find it gives my face more dimension.

For her eye make-up, Cara kept it very simple. No eyeliner, just a stunning peach toned shimmer for eye shadow and a thin coat of mascara. This kept the look very fresh despite the dark lip. In order to achieve a similar look I used Urban Decay's Gwen Stefani Palette. I used the shade 'Blonde', a light creamy tone, in the corners of my eyes and under the brown bone to create a natural looking highlight. I then used 'Baby' all over the lid, which is a mid-tone peachy champagne colour, which I gave some definition to by using 'Steady' in the crease, which is a more warm toned peachy orange. To finish I took 'Punk' on an angled brush and lined the outer lower lash line.

I then applied a thin coat of Catrice Jet Lash mascara, in Black, on both the top and bottom lashes. I also attempted to fill in my brows Cara style using Catrice Eyebrow Stylist, however, in all honesty, mine are in definite need of some TLC, and are certainly not eyebrows on fleek!

For the lipstick, I have been trying out a new range called Freedom. The option I went for is a lovely deep burgundy, and very similar to the shade that Cara was wearing. The lipstick has a glossy sheen to it and is very long lasting, meaning it would be perfect for day and night wear.

I really enjoyed re-creating this look, it's definitely something I would sport myself on a daily basis, and I look forward to hearing what you think!
